Our Senior Pastor / Lead Elder

Todd Nelson (USA)

Founding and Senior Pastor of The Bridge, Todd has been serving and leading churches in a pastoral role since 1981, first in the USA and now in Malaysia since 1998. He and his wife, Jeni, have two daughters: one at Southeastern University in Florida, and one at The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL). Jeni teaches at the elementary campus of ISKL in Melawati.

Todd loves being a pastor-teacher and seeing Jesus, through His Word and His Spirit bring healing, freedom, wisdom, and purpose to people's lives. He is also a self-confessed "techie", a former athlete, and a sketch artist.

His academic training for teaching and counseling consists of Master of Divinity and PhD degrees in theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas. He received a BA in Business Management from the University of South Florida.

Todd is also Managing Director of GuideStone Consultancy Sdn Bhd through which he provides pre-marital, marriage, and personal counseling services.

Our Associate Pastor / Elder

Chris Sekar (Malaysia)

Chris, Associate Pastor since 2007, serves as a counselor, teacher, pastor, and missions administrator. He has two grown sons and is married to Rachel Ng who serves as the Administrative Assistant in the church office.

Chris earned a bachelors degree in theology from Malaysia Bible Seminary and a masters degree in counseling from De La Salle University in the Philippines. He is an Addiction Therapist and Psychotherapist in three leading private hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. Chris loves to teach God's Word and minister God's grace.

Flea markets are his favourite haunts for finding old collectibles, especially watches. It's a hobby he indulges in occasionally.
