Overview
CommitMen is for men who want to discover the true meaning and significance of
their lives in relationship to God, family, and work. It is for men who would
dare to make a positive difference in this world. CommitMen
combines the words “commitment” and “men”.
It evokes the idea of men on a quest to understand and practice authentic manhood
as intended by their Creator.

Mission
We exist to help men … Venture
into the realm of the spiritual life
To develop and prioritize disciplines for personal spiritual growth in relationship
to God Lead
the family well
To take on the responsibility to guide, provide, and protect the family as a leader
who loves and serves well Inspire
other men To lead by
example in the workplace and community a life of honor, courage, faith, and wisdom;
and to strengthen men against temptations to compromise their integrity. Imagine
the transforming power of men coming together to honestly examine their lives
and take the courageous steps necessary to become who God intends them to be.
When men connect in life-changing ways, a powerful ripple effect touches families,
workplaces, and the church. Deeper connections with God and other men inspire
participants to connect more meaningfully in all facets of their lives. They climb
beyond the walls of isolation and aspire to a biblical viewpoint marked by integrity,
boldness, and compassion. Bonds of true God-centered friendships are formed as
men encourage each other week-by-week to more fully embrace a godly view of manhood.
Activities
CommitMen organizes value-based study groups which meet weekly and focus on men’s
issues (e.g., The
Quest for Authentic Manhood, Winning at Work and Home,
The Great Adventure). Men also gather for fellowship activities,
charity events, camping, golfing, fishing, meals, etc. Testimonies
KURT SCHAEFER “I am very grateful to the men’s
group for the spiritual and material support given when my family and work situation
was very stressful. My knowledge of the Bible has increased, and I’m inspired
to apply its instructions to my life as a man.” DINESH
CHERYAN “There’s a level of openness and trust in
our men’s group, therefore it is easy to relate to, learn from, and be challenged
by the other guys in the group. The application of God’s Word in this context
has indeed been powerful in my life. How

The
Current Study : The Quest of Authentic Manhood, starting from May 5, 2008.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Quest for Authentic Manhood
The Quest for Authentic Manhood is a foundational level or ground floor of manhood.
This study from Men’s FraternityTM
by Robert Lewis focuses on a man’s core identity and gives an overview of
basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking
back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical
masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly
define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer
to the questions, “What is a man?” and “What am I living to
be?” >>
