Ministry Leader: Pastor Chris Sekar
Purpose of the ministry:
- Internally: the development of compassion and a servant heart within the church family for those both inside and outside our own church family.
- Externally: partnership with deserving ministries who are serving the poor, the needy, and the unevangelized.
- Financially: good stewardship of church funds for Kingdom purposes
Goals/Objectives/Tasks:
- Recommend to the Elders and to the Church a detailed budget for missions and community service work that amounts to 10 per cent of the total budget of the Church.
- Regularly update the church on the work being supported, and look for and recommend specific opportunities for personal involvement of our church members in missions and community service activities.
- To provide short-term financial assistance and counselling in crisis situations of church members or attendees as an expression of God's love and grace.
Present Needs/Opportunities: Compassionate, community-minded, wise, and willing workers to make contacts, organize ministry visits, and report on results.
Frequency of Meetings or Events: Quarterly or more often as needed.
